SCALP HEALTH
A Head Spa for Hair Loss & Thinning
Healthy hair starts at the scalp. Tend the soil, and let it flourish.
A Japanese-style head spa focused on the scalp environment — deep cleansing, exfoliation, and stimulation. From $90.
THE SHORT ANSWER
Can a head spa help with thinning hair?
A head spa supports hair by tending the soil it grows from — the scalp. Clearing buildup, exfoliating, and stimulating circulation gives every follicle richer, cleaner ground to root in. It isn't a medical treatment for hair loss, but healthy soil is where healthy growth starts.
The Bronze Lily's head spa treatments start at $90 for 30 minutes or $120 for 60 minutes (60-minute duo $240). For thinning specifically, our 90-minute Hair Growth Activation ($175) goes deepest — intensive follicle stimulation with growth-focused bioactive masks, plus a Tricho-Analyzer reading before and after that measures your scalp's density and growth cycle, so you can watch the soil improve across visits. Open 7 AM–11 PM seven days a week, rated 4.9 from 318 reviews. For diagnosed medical hair loss, we recommend also seeing a physician or dermatologist.
THE SCALP CONNECTION
Why the scalp matters
Think of the scalp as soil and every follicle as a seed: a plant grows only as well as the ground it's rooted in, and hair is no different. The scalp is living skin, so like all skin it collects oil, product, sweat, and dead cells. When that builds up — or the scalp turns tight, flaky, or inflamed — the soil goes hard and depleted, and hair has to push through an environment that's working against it. A head spa tends that soil: we deep-cleanse and gently exfoliate to clear the buildup, then use massage to stimulate circulation, carrying fresh blood — oxygen and nutrients — up to the root the way water and air feed a garden bed.
Healthy soil doesn't change what seed you planted, but it lets that seed grow to its fullest — and that's the honest promise of scalp care. We can't rewrite your genetics, but we can make the ground as rich, clean, and stimulated as possible, so the hair you do grow comes in at its strongest and fullest. There's early science behind the stimulation piece, too: small studies have found that regular, standardized scalp massage can increase hair thickness over a few months, likely by mechanically working the cells at the base of each follicle and improving blood flow to the root. Clients dealing with shedding, thinning, or a tight, oily, or flaky scalp often notice their hair simply feels fuller and behaves better once the scalp underneath it is genuinely clean and awake.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Honest about what it is
We'll be straight with you: a head spa is a wellness treatment, not a prescription. It won't reverse genetic or hormonal hair loss on its own. What it does is optimize the scalp — the one part of the equation that's fully in your control — and it feels extraordinary while doing it.
If your shedding is sudden or significant, please also see a physician or dermatologist; scalp care and medical care work best together. Many clients build a regular head spa into their routine as the maintenance layer alongside whatever their doctor advises.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Head spa for hair loss —
Will a head spa stop my hair loss?
A head spa isn't a medical treatment and won't reverse genetic or hormonal hair loss on its own — healthy soil doesn't change the seed that was planted. What it does is make that soil as rich as possible: cleansing, exfoliating, and stimulating circulation so your scalp is the healthiest ground it can be for the hair you do grow. For diagnosed hair loss, pair it with a physician's care.
How much is a head spa in St. Petersburg?
Head spa treatments at The Bronze Lily start at $90, and our 90-minute Hair Growth Activation — the targeted treatment for thinning and hair loss — is $175. A 60-minute duo experience is $240.
How often should I come for scalp health?
Many clients with thinning or a congested scalp come monthly to keep the soil clear, stimulated, and healthy. We'll suggest a cadence based on your scalp during your visit.
Is it good for an oily or flaky scalp?
Yes. Deep cleansing and exfoliation are especially helpful for oily, tight, or flaky scalps, and the treatment feels wonderful regardless of concern.
