The Bronze Lily 
The Bronze Lily Training Academy is the in-house beauty-business education program of The Bronze Lily, a six-suite sanctuary in Historic Kenwood and Grand Central, St. Petersburg, Florida. Founder Larae Leeson — a Licensed Florida Facial Specialist with 14+ years of professional craft — teaches three 1-on-1 certifications: Advanced Airbrush Spray Tanning ($850), Japanese Head Spa ($1,400), and Lash Extensions in two tracks (Classic $1,200, Volume $1,500). Every certification is personally taught by Larae inside her studio, with hands-on practice on live models, a Bronze Lily certificate of completion, and unlimited post-training Q&A and mentorship by call or text. No kits, formulas, or products are bundled — students receive direct supplier links and a supply checklist so they can purchase wholesale without an upcharge.
Her Journey
How 
I was a college freshman working at a tanning salon when I walked away to start my own business. There was no studio, no team, no chair. There was a single spray tan machine, loaded into my car, and a list of clients who trusted me enough to let me come to them.
Fourteen years later, that single machine became a six-suite studio in a restored 1920s home — and the framework I teach in the spray tan certification is the same one I built the business on.
Why I tell students to start with spray tan.
Spray tanning is a low-cost, no-license-required service in Florida. It's the lowest-friction entry point in beauty for a new esthetician, a salon owner, or anyone building a book. Equipment is cheap. The service is fast. The margin is strong. And every client who comes in for a tan becomes a candidate for everything else you offer.
To this day, I still get clients in for a spray tan and easily upsell them into facials, head spa, lashes, the Root Room — almost every time. It's how I built the entire business. This is the playbook I teach.

2 days · 1-on-1 · Day 1 theory + mannequin practice · Day 2 live models. Volume students learn to make their own fans, eye mapping, eye shapes, styling. Lash rehabilitation + allergy/sensitivity protocol in both tracks (two of our studio specialties). Optional Day 3 at $100/hr.

You will not share a teacher with a class of twelve. Spray tan and lash certifications are taught personally by the founder, every time. Head Spa rotates among trained studio practitioners only when Larae is unavailable.

Every other beauty school bundles a kit at $300–$800 markup. We don't. You leave with a supplier list and direct supplier links — buy wholesale, no upcharge from us.

Head spa = 2 live models on training day. Lash = full Day 2 on live models. Spray tan = 3–4 live models, including one Larae sprays so you can video-record her artistry. Real bodies, real consultation flow, real corrections.

Unlimited post-training Q&A by call or text. Marketing material sharing, consultation forms, ongoing supplier introductions. Additional model days at $100/hr in our studio. You leave certified AND with a teacher you can text when you hit a hard case.
Prerequisites
Who can 
For Head Spa + Lash:
Licensed esthetician · cosmetologist · massage therapist · laser technician · medical doctor · OR a student within 90 days of graduating beauty license school. We verify.
For Spray Tan:
No license required. Spray tanning is unlicensed in Florida — anyone can train. This is the academy's strongest entry point for new practitioners and salon owners building a service line.
Who actually books with us: newly licensed estheticians building a service menu · salon owners training a team member (group pricing case-by-case) · career changers who finished beauty school and want a specialty · experienced artists upskilling into Volume lash or Japanese head spa · Bronze Lily team members expanding into a new service line.
How it works
Format, payment, 
- Format: all 3 trainings are 1-on-1. Spray Tan and Lash are taught personally by Larae. Head Spa can rotate among trained studio practitioners depending on Larae's availability — same protocols, same standards.
- Duration: Spray Tan (full day, 1-on-1 schedule) · Head Spa (1 day, 6–8 hours) · Lash (2 days, 3–4 hours per day; optional Day 3 at $100/hr).
- Group pricing: case-by-case. If you're a salon owner training your team, call or text — we'll quote.
- Payment: due in full before scheduled training day. Custom payment plans available — text to discuss.
- Reschedule: must be requested at least one week before training day. Reschedules with less notice forfeit a partial cost.
- Refunds: none. Reschedule policy above is the only flexibility.
