Head Spa for Stress & Sleep · St. Petersburg, FL
A head spa for stress and sleep,
Sixty minutes with nothing asked of you. Then straight home to bed.
People ask their phones what helps with stress at eleven at night, which tells you most of it. The Japanese head spa is the treatment guests fall asleep in: a warmed bed, a black-out eye mask, steam, hot towels, halo water hydrotherapy and an extended scalp massage, with nothing asked of you. Relax & Detox $120 · VIP Full Ritual $225. Evening slots until 11 PM, then straight home to bed.
The short answer
Stress, sleep and the head spa,
We are not going to tell you a head spa treats anxiety or cures insomnia; it does not, and we are not clinicians. What we can tell you is what it is: an hour or two lying still in a warm, dark, quiet suite while someone works on your scalp, neck and shoulders with heat, water and unhurried pressure. For most people that is the first time all week their body has been allowed to do nothing, and the usual report is that they slept that night in a way they had not for a while. The Relax & Detox is the 60-minute version. The VIP Full Ritual adds a facial and a warm oil drip over two hours. Either can be a side-by-side duo (exactly twice the solo price) if the person you need it with is the person you live with.
Add a quiet appointment (just say “quiet, please”) and the room goes silent. Pair it with a massage in a separate suite, or the Root Room foot soak after. See the full head spa page.
What actually happens
The ritual,
You lie down and the room closes. Bed warmer on, plush blanket, a black-out eye mask weighted with crystal, aromatherapy, and a nature or spa-trance soundscape — or silence. Your phone is in your bag.
Heat and water. Steam and hot towels open the scalp; the halo water hydrotherapy runs warm water in a ring over the head in a way that most people say they can feel in their shoulders. The micro-exfoliant mask, shampoo and treatment mask go on in sequence.
The massage. An extended scalp massage with cranial pressure-point work, then neck and shoulders, then hands and arms while the deep conditioner sits on the lengths. This is the part people fall asleep in, and nobody wakes you.
The slow finish. Scalp serums, a rough dry to 60–80% or a simple braid, a glass of water, and no rush out of the suite. Book the last slot of the night and the next thing you do is sleep.
Being honest about it
Timing it for
Burnt out, cannot switch off: the 60-minute Relax & Detox ($120), booked for 9 PM or later, with a quiet appointment. Go home, do not look at a screen, sleep.
Running on empty for weeks: the VIP Full Ritual ($225, 120 minutes) with the facial and warm oil drip. It is the deepest version and the one guests describe as a reset.
The two of you are both fried: the duo suite — two tables, two water halos, one closed room. Relax & Detox for two is $240; VIP for two $450. Add the Root Room duo ($170 when bundled) for a foot soak and ceremonial tea after.
Tension that lives in the body, not the head: add a massage in its own suite; the team sequences the two when you book. If sleep trouble is new, persistent or frightening, see a doctor — we are a spa and will always say that.
We are not making medical claims. A head spa is scalp care, not treatment, and your therapist is not diagnosing anything. If a scalp problem is new, painful, spreading or not improving, see a dermatologist first — and tell us at intake either way, so we work gently around it.
Cancellations. Twenty-four hours’ notice is required. Cancellations under 24 hours are 50% of service cost; no-shows, arrivals 15+ minutes late, or cancellations under 4 hours are 100%. All bookings require a card on file — no deposits. Phone call or text to (727) 218-7045 are the only valid ways to cancel or reschedule. All sales are final.

Stress & Sleep · Common Questions
Stress and sleep
What spa treatment is best for stress?
At The Bronze Lily, the Japanese head spa is the one guests book for it: a warm, dark, quiet private suite, steam and hot towels, halo water hydrotherapy, an extended scalp massage with cranial pressure-point work, and neck, shoulder, hand and arm massage. Relax & Detox is $120 for 60 minutes; the VIP Full Ritual is $225 for 120. We are a spa, not a clinic — it is rest, not treatment.
Can a head spa help me sleep?
We cannot promise anything medical, and we will not. What guests consistently report is that an evening head spa — lying still in the warm dark for an hour while the scalp and shoulders are worked — is followed by the best sleep they have had in a while. We are open until 11 PM so you can book the last slot and go straight to bed.
Do people fall asleep during the head spa?
Constantly, usually during the extended scalp massage or the hand-and-arm massage while the conditioner sits. Nobody wakes you; the therapist works around you.
Can I have the appointment in silence?
Yes. Ask for a quiet appointment when you book or on arrival and your therapist keeps conversation to comfort checks. The soundscape can be nature, spa-trance or off. Every suite is private with a closed door.
Which head spa should I book for stress?
The 60-minute Relax & Detox ($120) if you need an hour of nothing; the 120-minute VIP Full Ritual ($225) if you have been running on empty for weeks and want the facial and warm oil drip as well. The condition-specific 75-minute rituals ($145) are for scalp concerns rather than stress.
Can my partner come too?
Yes — the duo suite has two tables and two water halo basins in one closed room. A duo is exactly twice the solo price (Relax & Detox $240 for two, VIP $450). Up to five people at once on weekends, four midweek.
How late can I book?
Last appointments run to 11 PM, seven days a week, by appointment. Text (727) 218-7045 and we tell you what is open tonight.
What should I do after?
Water, no screens if you can manage it, and bed. Your hair is rough-dried or braided, not styled, which is the point of an evening slot. Book Relax & Detox online.
