Just Want Lashes for One Event?

Not everyone wants lashes as a standing ritual. Sometimes you just want to look incredible for one weekend — and then have your own face back. That’s a completely reasonable ask, and it does nothing bad to your lashes.

There’s a myth that trying extensions even once will leave your natural lashes thin and wrecked. It won’t. A single, properly applied set sits one extension on one natural lash, grows out with your own lash, and comes off cleanly. Wearing lashes for a single event is actually one of the lowest-commitment, gentlest ways to try them.

Will wearing them once hurt my natural lashes?

No. Natural lashes are stressed by the same short list of things whether you wear extensions once or for years — too much weight, lashes glued together, and picking or pulling them off. None of that is inherent to a single set. Applied at a weight your lashes can carry and removed the right way, your lashes simply keep their normal shed-and-regrow cycle. One set and done gives them even less time to be affected than ongoing wear would.

Booking in time for the big day

Extensions at The Bronze Lily normally run on a waitlist so every set gets the time proper isolation demands — but a one-time or event set can often be booked sooner with our lash artist Elyssa. Tell us your event date when you reach out so we can place the appointment a few days ahead; freshly done lashes photograph beautifully and settle in perfectly by the day of. If you already know you’ll want them off on a schedule, say so, and we’ll pre-book your removal too.

After the event, option one: a quick professional removal

The cleanest finish is to let us take them off. A standalone Lash Removal is $25, done entirely by hand with the banana-peel method — one lash at a time, in the direction of growth, with no solvent anywhere near your eyes. Most people book it for about two to three weeks after the event, once the newness has worn off. You walk out with your own bare lashes, untouched.

Option two: let them shed on their own

Extensions naturally fall away as your own lashes cycle, so you can simply let them go. If a few stubborn ones are still holding on, a little oil releases the bond gently: put a touch of a lightweight oil on clean fingertips or a clean lash brush and twirl each lash between your fingers, or brush it through. (Oil dissolves lash adhesive — which is exactly why we tell you to keep it away from a set you want to keep.) The one thing to never do is pick, pull, or tweeze them off, which is what actually takes a natural lash with it.
