The short answer
Every Bronze Lily head spa — from the 30-minute Mini Lunch Break to the 2-hour VIP Full Ritual — includes the same core ritual: halo water therapy, aromatherapy, a detoxifying cleanse and steam, treatment masks and serums, generous scalp, neck and shoulder massage, hot towels, a black-out and weighted eye mask, and a rough-dry finish. Every full service (60 minutes and up) also includes a Tricho-Analyzer scalp reading before and after. Higher tiers add time, condition-specific care, and the warm Hydro-Dhara oil drip.
The question we get on the phone almost every day is the simplest one: “what does your head spa actually include?” It’s fair to ask — “head spa” now means everything from a ten-minute scalp rinse to a two-hour ritual. So here is the whole list, on the record.
A real Japanese head spa isn’t one thing you buy — it’s a dozen small, deliberate things layered into one uninterrupted hour (or two). Below is every element that is part of every ritual, at every tier, before we ever talk about upgrades.
So what’s included in every head spa?
No matter which tier you book, every scalp ritual at The Bronze Lily includes all of the following:
- Halo water therapy — the warm cascading ring you’ve seen in every viral clip.
- Aromatherapy throughout the service.
- Adjustable bed warmers and plush blankets on every treatment table.
- Hot towels misted with pure essential oils.
- A quiet, fully private environment to escape, rest, and recharge.
- A soundscape of nature or spa-trance.
- Steam for relaxation, a detoxifying cleanse, and deeper product absorption.
- A black-out eye mask plus a weighted crystal eye mask for sensory immersion.
- Multiple professional combs and head-spa tools for varied massage techniques.
- Generous scalp massage for tension release and deep relaxation.
- Neck and shoulder massage to extend the relaxation arc.
- A rough dry to 60–80%, or a simple braid finish.
- Pre- and post-treatment Tricho-Analyzer scalp analysis (on all full services).
- A knowledgeable scalp therapist trained to melt your stress with a tranquilizing touch.
The part most “head spas” skip: the scalp reading
Every full head spa (60 minutes and up) includes a Tricho-Analyzer scalp reading at 50x magnification — before and after your treatment. The first calibrates the product mix, masks and serums, to what your scalp actually needs that day. The second lets you see the change on screen the same visit, rather than take our word for it. (The 30-minute Mini Lunch Break is the one service that skips the reading — it’s too short a window to do it justice.)
Every tier includes all of it. The higher tiers don’t swap the ritual out — they give it more time and more targeted care.
What the higher tiers add
The core experience is the same whether you book the entry tier or the VIP. What changes as you move up is duration, extended hands-on massage time, condition-specific treatment masks and serums, and — at the VIP Full Ritual — the Hydro-Dhara warm botanical oil drip streamed gently over the scalp and forehead. Five tiers run from $90 to $225; the 60-minute Relax & Detox at $120 is the most-booked starting point, and every tier can be booked as a side-by-side duo.
Is this just a fancy scalp massage?
No — and that’s the honest difference. A scalp massage is one of the fourteen things on the list above. A Bronze Lily head spa is a full scalp-and-hair treatment: a diagnostic reading, a detoxifying cleanse, halo hydrotherapy, treatment masks and serums, the massage, and a finish — performed in a private suite over 30 minutes to two hours. If you’ve had a “head spa” elsewhere that was a quick wash with mood lighting, this is not that.
That’s the whole list, nothing held back. Want to see what you can layer on top? Read what you can add on to your head spa — or book any tier and come find out why people can’t describe it without closing their eyes.
